With the Xbox One’s upcoming Backwards Compatibility feature set to be launched in November, there are still some questions about the feature. The biggest of them is how will DLC work on the Xbox One for the backward compatible games. The team at BearClawGaming sent a Tweet asking how the DLC features will work with older games to Microsoft’s head of Xbox Phil Spencer and received a reply.
@BearClawGaming We are working on a clear description of how DLC will work. It should work as expected.

It’s good to know that Microsoft does have a plan in motion for DLC considering several DLC heavy titles like the Gears of War series and Fallout 3, will be coming to the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility program. It’s hard to say if we’ll see the DLC compatibility work at when the feature launches in November, or exactly how DLC will work at the moment.
