The Assassin’s Creed series is no stranger to novels expanding on the themes and concepts of the game, and with the new movie staring Michael Fassbender on its way in December, now is the perfect time to announce two tie-in books for the upcoming film.
The first of the tie-ins is a direct adaptation of the film, which has been described by distrubutor “Penguin Random House”
Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organisation in the present day.
The second book gives us a behind the scenes look at the making of the movie, called Assassin’s Creed: Into the Animus. Along with art from the production, the book will also be showcasing the incredible fight and parkour choreography as well as interviews with costume, set designers and film stars Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard.
Both books will be out at the end of the year, just after the release of film according to the press release.
