Square Enix’s mysterious new game, The Quiet Man, has an interesting feature to help it stand out of the crowd by offering a deaf protagonist, and giving you a feel for the world he lives in.
However, this is only for your first playthrough, as according to Gematsu, Square Enix has added the option to playthrough the game with sound on the second time around.
According to The Quite Man’s Steam Page, the game will have very little distinct audio and no subtitles, forcing you to make up your own interpretation of the story as you search for the masked man who kidnapped the songstress that the protagonist has fallen for. The ability to play with Sound will be optional on the second playthrough, but it does seem a little odd given that Dane’s (the Protagonist) deafness being such a key point in the game that this would be included.
The Quite Man was showcased earlier this year at E3 2018 with a quick blend of live action and animated gameplay. Square waited until early October to show off more of the game which revealed a very close release date and gave us more of an idea of what we can expect from mysterious game. The Quiet Man is set to launch on November 1st on PS4 and PC, and will be released as a digital-only title.
