It’s that time of year folks where we start picking out what was the best video games of the year, and starting off the list is the Geoff Keighley produced “Game Awards” which the official nominations list has been announce.
To be eligible in the list, the nominees had to have a commercial release on or before Nov. 24, 2016, this of course leaves out big titles like Final Fantasy XV and The Last Guardian. However anything released after Nov. 24th 2015 including Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege (which is nominated for best multiplayer game) is eligible for an award.
Leading the charge this year is Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4, which has been nominated 8 times through 6 categories including game of the year. Standing with it is Respawn’s Titanfall 2, Blizzard’s Overwatch, ID’s DOOM, PlayDead’s Inside.
