If there was one complaint I had with Tango Gameworks “The Evil Within” was how the game was presented. On consoles, the game had a constant letterbox format which made it very difficult to see everything that was going on, combined with an already close camera and cheap traps made the game extremely difficult for the wrong reasons.
Bethesda has released a new update across all platforms to correct this, giving players the option to remove the letterbox format, and allowing players to see more of the game. The patch also makes the game a bit more easier, Bethesda has stated that it has been “rebalanced to be more forgiving to players with increased ammo amounts and adjustments to the game’s health bar.”
The patch update comes from community feedback, but it should be stated that the PC version of The Evil Within always had this option since the game launched in October. The patch is out now for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions of the game.
