The kickstarter for the third title in Stoic’s critically acclaimed Strategy RPG series, The Banner Saga, has ended on a high note with the game receiving $416,986. The Fan-Funded campaign started on January 24th 2017 and originally asked for $200,000, by the end of the week (January 30th) the team announced that the game was successfully funded.
“The support from backers and the community has been amazing, and it’s humbling to know that RTS fans around the world really want to support us”, said John Watson, co-founder and Technical Director at Stoic. “The additional funds will be invested into bringing as much of our intended vision to the final game and rewarding our backers’ support with an unforgettable experience to conclude this epic tale”.
The third and final chapter in The Banner Saga will bring players past the wall of darkness, promising a world unlike anything we’ve seen in the Viking-inspired RPG while delivering more of the award-winning combat system that will affect your personal journey.
A release date has not been announced for the third game at the moment of this writing.
