With the last expansion to the epic Starcraft 2 storyline a little more than a month away, it’s time to talk about the mandatory collectors edition. Blizzard released details on the upcoming Collectors Edition for StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void, which will have a bundle of digital and physical extras.
Along with the game released on a DVD, the collectors will also come with an exclusive two-disc behind the scenes set (both on DVD and Blu-ray) consisting of “over an hour of bonus features.” This includes a retrospective and a deconstruction of shots from the game’s cinematics and more. The physical goodies also include a 21-track soundtrack featuring music from Legacy of the Void, as well as a 178-page field guide (art book.)
Digital goodies for the Collectors expand to all of Blizzard’s titles, and includes the following:
- StarCraft II: Purifier skins for Protoss Adepts and Colossi, and three Protoss portraits
- World of Warcraft: Archon pet
- Diablo III: Probe pet and Protoss armor transmog
- Hearthstone: Protoss-themed card back
- Heroes of the Storm: Void Speeder mount
The Collectors Edition will be available along side regular editions of the game on November 10th, and is priced at $80 (USD). Meanwhile a Digital Deluxe Edition has also been announced for $60(USD) and features the digital contents of the Collectors Edition.
