Megadimension Neptunia VII listed for a January release

Amazon.com has listed the latest instalment of the Hyperdimension Neptuina series for release in North America on January 6th 2016, titled Megadimension Neptunia VII.

The listing tells us of some new features in the upcoming PS4 exclusive, which includes new characters, new battle system that allow you to break apart enemies to make them easier to fight, a new dungeon mini-game similar to “Spelunker,” and a new tier of Transformations.

The story will see Neptune and Nepgear cross 3 different dimensions in order to save Gamindustri from the Dark CPU, an evil force threatening Neptune’s world. Amazon listed the full synopsis as the following:

G.C. 2015-Gamindustri has entered a precarious season known as the CPU Shift Period. During this time of social unrest, deprecating rumors about the CPUs have begun to saturate Gamindustri. Neptune and the others worry the citizens will soon call for new leaders to replace them and that their rule will end. In these critical moments for Plane tune, Neptune and Nepgear mysteriously disappear. Their destination is a divergent world, nearing its catastrophic end, called the Zero Dimension. They encounter the last remaining CPU of this world, UzumeTennouboshi, who is desperately waging a lonely battle against a colossal evil known as the Dark CPU. Will Neptune and Nepgear be able to work together with Uzumein in order to save Zero Dimension from tragedy?
