Despite the advancements seen in Sniper Elite 3 and 4, 2012’s Sniper Elite V2 remains one of our favourites of the series. Rebellion has been hard at work on multiple Sniper Elite projects to come out within the year including a Switch Port of Sniper Elite 3 and a new entry, we will also be getting a remastered version of V2 next month.
Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is set to release on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch on May 14th both digitally and physically, however players can take advantage of a 10% discount by pre-ordering the digital edition. The release date for the game comes along with a new graphics comparison trailer, highlighting some of the extensive work that went into remastering the title.
The game will also support 4K and HDR on available platforms, and feature updated environments, characters, weapons and vehicles, modernized rendering and post-processing effects, enhanced texturing and level geometry, a revamped lighting system and so much more. On top of the visual upgrade, we’ll also see a new frame-by-frame photo mode, seven new playable characters from the Zombie Army Series, an expanded multiplayer for 16 players (8 for the Nintendo Switch) and all the extra content ever released for the game for free.
Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is currently priced at $34.99 USD, steam users who already own Sniper Elite V2 can upgrade to the remastered version for just $9.99.
