Sniper Elite 4 goes to Italy, set to release later this year

The next entry in the popular WWII Sniper Elite series from Rebellion has been announced for a 2016 release and this time we’ll be sniping Nazi’s with cool X-Ray Shots in Italy as series protagonist Karl Fairburne will take up arms with Italians struggling to free their nation in 1943, with the fate of the Allied liberation of Europe on the line.

Rebellion is promising “sun-drenched Mediterranean coastal towns, colossal Nazi mega-structures, daunting forests and giddying mountain monasteries inspired by Monte Cassino,” as well as all the action that you can come to expect from the Sniper Elite series.

Sniper Elite is being built from the ground up for PS4 and Xbox One with Rebellion promising 1080p across both systems, along with a 1-2 player campaign, co-op and competitive multiplayer mode.
