EA and Maxis announced that the previously PC/Mac-only life simulator – The Sims 4 – will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One on November 17th. Like the PC version, players will be able to customize their Sims and send them out into the world to develop relationships and pursue careers with all the crazy hijinks that The Sim series is known for.
“The addition of a console-version of The Sims 4 has been long-awaited by fans and newcomers alike, and we at Maxis are beyond excited to bring The Sims to new platforms,” said Executive Producer, Lyndsay Pearson. “The game delivers a beautiful The Sims experience on console and comes packed with tons of the fan-favourite content, so players can look forward to the unique gameplay, self-expression, and fun that have come to be tentpoles of The Sims brand. The possibilities to play with life are as endless as the players’ creativity.”
EA and Maxis has confirmed that the game will see plenty of additional content updates for The Sims 4 post-launch, including a pre-order “Perfect Patio Stuff Pack” which includes hottubs and tons of bonus decor for your “perfect outdoor oasis.”
While the game is set to launch on November 17th, those who can’t wait to dive into The Sims on console can pick up the Deluxe Party Edition and receive the game 3 days earlier on November 14th and get extra content like a Flaming Tiki Bar, outrageous costumes, silly animal hats and more.
If the life-simulator gameplay of The Sims doesn’t do it for you, you can still give EA your money by picking up Star Wars Battlefront 2 which also launches on November 17th.
