In an interview with Clash Music, 74 year old film composer Giorgio Moroder, who is best known for his work on Top Gun, Flash Dance and Scarface, announced that he will be teaming up with Skrillex on music for an upcoming game based on Tron.
“I’m going to meet Skrillex next week when I’m back. I’m doing the music for a game for Disney’s Tron. We have about five themes, electronic stuff and let’s see if he’s interested in remixing or re-working one of the songs.”
While this hasn’t been the first bit of info leaked about upcoming Tron projects, with Tron actor Bruce Boxleiter stating that Disney would possibly looking at a Holiday 2015 release of the next movie in the series, this would however be the first we hear about an unannounced Tron video game that may possibly be a tie-in.
Unfortunately Disney has yet to confirm the information. The last Tron based game came in 2010, Tron: Evolution, which came out as a prequel tie-in to the movie released that same year.
