When it comes to content that is still in Alpha, like how EA/DICE’s Star Wars Battlefront 2 is, sometimes it’s hard not to share content despite the Non-Disclosure Agreements. One brave Bothan by the Reddit username uninspired_zebra has released a list of playable heroes for the upcoming multiplayer shooter, and there are some interesting choices in the mix.
Now before we can dive into this, we must mention that at this time as EA or DICE has not confirm this list that we will keep this under Rumour as with any unconfirmed information we report on. While uninspired_zebra has been pretty spot on given his/her history on Reddit, nothing here is 100% at this time. So fair warning and possible spoilers ahead.:
The following is taken from the Reddit post.
These are the characters that the menu screen knows about:
- Boba Fett
- Han Solo
- Leia
- Luke
- Bossk
- Chewbacca
- Darth Vader
- Emperor
- Grievous
- Iden
- Kylo Ren
- Lando
- Maul
- Phasma
- Rey
- Yoda
While most of the list has been previously confirmed such as Yoda, Maul, Rey, Luke, Boba Fett, and Kylo Ren, others like Darth Vader, The Emperor, Han and Leia were assumed to be coming back for the next instalment. However it’s the inclusion of Bossk (seen in Empire Strikes Back), General Grievous, Lando and the Single Player Campaign character Iden that has surprised many fans and has sparked a few interesting theories.
Taking the group or characters while leaving Iden out shows that there are more characters swinging for the Empire then the Rebels. If EA is looking to keep everything equal during the closed Alpha, Iden might just have a slot available on the Rebellion, leaving many to speculate that Iden might not be part of the Empire for long in the game’s story-mode.
