According to Retail Merchandiser, a brand new Ghostbusters game is in the works from Activision and is set to release along-side the series reboot/sequel… err… next movie in the franchise.
The report is tied to an interview with Mark Caplan, senior vice president at Sony Pictures Consumer Products, who said that a new “Full-Fledge” Ghostbuster game is in the works for PS4 and Xbox One and is expected to launch alongside the film from director Paul Feig, which slated for a July 15th 2016 release.
It’s not clear at this time if the game will follow the movie and feature the new set of Ghostbusters featuring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones or the cast of the 1984 movie.
Despite the interview with Mark, we’re stating this as a rumour until we can get clarification from Activision and Sony Pictures.
