The end of an exclusive dealing with EA means that Porche is now free to licence their vehicles to other racing franchises, and what better one to represent the car company then Forza Motorsport.
Porche has signed a 6-year deal with Microsoft which will give Forza the rights to use Porche vehicles in their series. The first benefit of this deal is coming to Forza Horizon 3 with the Porsche Car Pack which is available now for $6.99 USD. The pack includes:
- 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS
- 2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo
- 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4
- 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS
- 1995 Porsche 911 GT2
- 1960 Porsche 718 RS 60
- 1955 Porsche 550A Spyder
Porche’s previous deal with EA was one of the longest exclusive licensing run in video games, from 2000 to 2016. This meant that EA had exclusive use of the cars for their series, mainly the ‘Need for Speed’ franchise.
