If there was any announcement from this weekend’s Playstation Experience that excited us the most, it was the sequel to Level-5’s PS3 family friendly RPG Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch.
The game was formally announced via a trailer on Saturday, which showed off some of the story elements to the RPG. Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom will have you in the role of a young king who must fight to regain his throne and reunite the people of world, and while the trailer shows what looks like the end result of the journey, it looks like it will be full of adventure that we would expect from the series.
The original Ni no Kuni was a collab project between Level-5 and famed animation studio, Studio Gibli, was released back in 2013 with critical and commercial success. Ni no Kuni 2 will be a PS4 exclusive. No release date has been given for the sequel at this time.
