In an exclusive interview back in July of 2015 with Eurogamer, Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed that Pikmin 4 is currently in development. In fact according to Miyamoto, “It’s actually very close to completion,” and that the “Pikmin teams are always working on the next one.”
Nintendo later confirmed the game’s existance, but was not ready to talk about the details of the upcoming time-management/action-strategy game yet stating: “We can confirm that Pikmin 4 is in development but that is all we can confirm at present.”
The last entry in the series was released in August 2013 for the Wii U.
