During Microsoft’s press conference at this year’s E3, it was announced that Halo Wars 2 will be coming to both Xbox One and PC on February 21, 2017.
In addition to the stand-alone title, gamers will also have the option of purchasing a special version of the game called Halo Wars 2: Ultimate Edition. This edition of the game will come packaged with an enhanced version of the first Halo Wars, titled Halo Wars: Definitive Edition, and will include all of the first game’s DLC along with it. In addition to that, Halo Wars 2: Ultimate Edition will also come with a season pass and access to the game four days before it officially launches.
Other news regarding Halo Wars 2 comes in the form of a multiplayer beta, which is now live on Xbox One. The beta is a 13 GB download, open to the public, and supports up to six players. The beta will remain accessible from June 13-20.
Likewise, Microsoft also released two trailers for Halo Wars 2. One being a cinematic trailer, and the other showcasing in-game footage of the multiplayer beta.
