2017 had a strong opening and closing for Horror games. We’ve explored Serial killers minds, a plantation full of traps and mold monsters, an abandon space station, and a school filled with ghosts. Here is the top picks for the games that scared the crap out of us in 2017.
NOMINEES:
The Evil Within 2 (Bethesda/Tango Gameworks)
Outlast 2 (Red Barrels)
Resident Evil 7 (Capcom)
Prey (Arkane Studios/Bethesda)
White Day: A Labyrinth Named School (PQube)
WINNER:
Resident Evil 7 (Capcom)
Capcom’s return to Horror with the Resident Evil series has been a triumphant one. Bringing us back to the claustrophobic feeling of the original game, a new first person view and the crew didn’t sacrifice scares for combat by keeping combat items to a minimum forcing you to either craft or save your items.
