The age of saying that there are no good video games based off of movies, books, comics, and TV are (almost) coming to an end. Here are our picks for the best Adapted Video Game from TV/Movie/Comics.
NOMINEES:
South Park: Fractured but Whole (Ubisoft)
Battle Chasers: Nightwar (Airship Syndicate)
Friday the 13th (GunMedia)
Middle-Earth: Shadow of War (Monolith/WB)
Telltale/Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy (Telltale Games)
WINNER:
South Park: Fractured But Whole (Ubisoft)
South Park: The Fractured But Whole gave us everything we wanted from a sequel and a South Park game in general. What feels like a longer episode of the classic show, an overall longer game, and an upgraded combat system that turned the game into a turn-based strategy RPG. The Fractured But Whole was the perfect entry to the South Park series and we can’t wait to see what comes next for the new kid.
