Despite being outed by ESRB last month, Ubisoft officially announced that Rocksmith 2014 will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One. Currently the game is set to release on November 4th, and the developer boast that the game will 1080p graphics, Remote play to the Playstation Vita which will allow you to practice songs without being tracked or Scored.
According to the Ubisoft forums (and theriffrepeater.com; which is a fan source for Rocksmith DLC updates,) all DLC from the Xbox 360 and PS4 will be transferable to the next-gen version of the game as long as they’re in the same family, this includes the Rocksmith 1 Import Pack. Buying new DLC from the new platforms will not be able to be carried over to the old platforms, however the work around of buying the DLC on the old platform first and then downloading it to the new gen will work.
Finally, Streaming will be available in the game however limited. Ubisoft has confirmed that Free-Form Play, Tone Designer, Guitarcade and the Sessions mode games can be streamed and shared, leaving Learn a Song and Score attack unable to be streamed due to licensing issues.
Physical copies will come with a new Real Tone Cable which plugs into your guitar, however owners of the original versions can use their already purchased cable. Retail copies will cost $79.99 and digital copies will be available for $59.99 when the game launches.
