Fair warning, unless you know Japanese you’re probably not going to know what is happening in this trailer. That being said, it’s at least something to look at for Four Goddess Online: Cyberdimension Neptune, the latest spin-off in the Neptunia series which is designed to be a faux-MMORPG.
The trailer shows no gameplay but sets a story for the game that was roughly translated by our friends at Ricedigital.co.uk:
In a world of nothingness, four goddesses created the World Tree Leanverde. This tree bore lands and oceans. The four goddess gave this world the name Asgard.
The game itself is said to be a PS4 exclusive set in a MMO based on the four goddesses (aka Neptune, Vert, Blanc and Noire.) There is hints that a Multiplayer mode may be added as players can take a party of players or NPCs to do quests and missions. The game is set to release on February 9th 2017 and is the first of the Neptunia series to use the Unreal 4 engine.
Japanese gaming site, Dengeki Online, also released a screenshot of the game in action along with some promotional art. No English release has been planned yet, however given the popularity of the games, we’re sure we’ll hear something in the near future.
