The August update for Final Fantasy XV is now live which comes with the usual assortment of bug patches and new features, but the important part is the latest event, The Assassin’s Festival, a mash-up event based on the popular Ubisoft series – Assassin’s Creed.
The limited-time in-game event introduces new mini-games, items and nw “gameplay elements” based from the Assassin’s Creed series. Among the items players can acquire during the event are Medjay’s Assassin’s Robs from the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Origins; which all 4 party members can wear to resemble Assassins. Noctis on the other hand can get the Master Assassin’s Robes from the Dream Egg, an item which can be obtained from the Moogle Chocobo Carnival which is going on until the end of September.
The Assassin’s Festival will run until January 31st, 2018. Square Enix has not confirmed if the event will be returning in the future or if PC Players will have a chance to take part of it when the game launches on PC early next year.
Aside from the Assassin’s Festival, the latest update also adds a chapter select and bestiary functionality. The chapter select will be available for players who completed the main quest, while the bestiary can be accessed from the game’s main menu.
