After a very successful Kickstarter, Rockfish Games’ Space Shooter with Roguelike elements, EverSpace, is now available for PC on Steam Early Access and GOG’s Games in Development services. The game will be priced at $29.99 USD for the Early Access version, which will then go up in price once the game is launched in Q1 2017.
According to the Press release, the game has been tested in Alpha and Beta stages by over 10,000 backers and supports Windows 7 to Windows 10 (32/64-Bit) and Mac OSX El Capitan. Linux support under OpenGL 4.0 will be added with the first patch planned for the end of the month.
While the game is still in development, the Early Access system will allow interested players to get the game early for a discount and start seeing the mechanics and the game’s Gorgeous graphics that is running off of the Unreal 4 Engine. The team has stated that they will be adding new weapons, quests and ships with regular updates, leading to the full launch which will add a fully voice-acted story, situational events, hardcore mode, and VR support for Oculus and HTC.
“We have been working closely with our fans since our Kickstarter in August 2015 and we are super excited to eventually launch EVERSPACE through Steam and GOG.com.” says Michael Schade, CEO and co-founder of ROCKFISH Games. “It comes with over 300 new features, tweaks and bug fixes, largely based on community feedback since the initial Alpha release and we look forward to keep working closely with our fans to make EVERSPACE as exciting and long-lasting as we can.“
A PS4 and Xbox One version is in the works as well, however the Xbox One will also see an Early Access release via Microsoft’s Game Preview later this month. Check out the game’s launch trailer above, as well as the gallery below.
