Gazillion Entertainment’s free-to-play action-RPG Marvel Heroes is shutting down in the near future. A representative of Disney confirmed the game’s closure via email yesterday stating:
“We regret to inform our Marvel Heroes fans that we have ended our relationship with Gazillion Entertainment, and that the Marvel Heroes games will be shut down… We would like to sincerely thank the players who joined the Marvel Heroes community, and will provide any further updates as they become available.”
Marvel Heroes was originally launched in 2013 on PC and then re-released as Marvel Heroes 2015, Marvel Heroes 2016 and its final incarnation, Marvel Heroes Omega – which was later received a release on PS4 and Xbox One this year. In mid-October, Thor villain Loki was added to the game, however the Gazillion went silent on all of their social media channels.
We currently do not know when Marvel Heroes will be closing down, however we will update the story as further details become available.
