Super Bomberman R on the Nintendo Switch got a huge update yesterday that adds some new gameplay tweaks, new game modes and a bunch of surprising guest characters.

The new mode called Grand Prix is a team versus mode designed specifically for the possibility of an eSports push. The mode has two teams of three battle it out in different arena’s using new characters with special abilities. Konami also outline two type of matches that the Grand Prix will feature:

“Crystal” Match – two teams compete to earn points by collecting crystals. Watch out for bombs! If you’re blown away you lose half of your crystals. The team with the most points at the end of the round wins.
“Basic Bomber” Match — two teams compete against each other using standard Bomberman rules. Each team begins with a set number of lives. To win, take out your opponents to earn the most points before the time runs out.

The new characters that join the previous guest stars – Simon Belmont, Vic Viper and Pyramid Head – include familiar faces like Dracula from Castlevania, Jehuty from Zone of Enders and Goemon from The Mystical Ninja; to more niche and bizzard choices such as Reiko from Rumble Roses, Shiori Fujisaki from Tokemeki Memorial, Princess Tomato from Hudson Soft’s Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom, and the nurses from Silent Hill… who surprising look more creepy as a Bomberman character.
