Regardless on your reaction to Kevin Hart as Roland in the upcoming Borderlands film – you can hear our mixed opinions on it in the latest podcast – this is one casting that feels almost too perfect as one of the original Scream Queens, Jamie Lee Curtis, will be joining the film as Patricia Tannis, our favourite Archaeologist with a “loose grasp on sanity.”
The announcement comes from The Hollywood Reporter, who describes Curtis’ role as “an archaeologist on the world of Pandora whose “complicated” history with Lilith that could get in the way of opening the fabled vault.” In the games, Tannis was the go-to character for all things about the Vault, and largely an ally to the Vault Hunters later becoming one of the 6 Sirens after the events of Borderlands 2.
Jamie Lee Curtis joins already confirmed Kevin Hart as Roland, and Cate Blanchett as Lilith. The Borderlands film is being directed by Hostel, Death Wish and The House with Clocks in its Walls director Eli Roth.
