Despite that the game is being developed by Warner Bros Montreal and not Rocksteady, Arkham Origins continues to look like a solid entry to the Arkham Series. Set in the early days of The Dark Knight’s career, Origins focuses on an original story of Batman taking down a group of assassins hired by Black Mask on Christmas Eve. We know that there is a huge amount of people on Black Mask’s payroll in this game including big time villains like Joker, Deathstroke, Deadshot and more, but what about the smaller villains who haven’t actually got a whole lot a time to shine in modern Batman media?
Well it seems that Black Mask has added two more assassins to his payroll that fits this criteria, the first of which is Jervis Tetch, aka the Mad Hatter. While he did have a cameo mission in Arkham City, he is now a main antagonist in a “psychotropic” action sequence similar to Scarecrow in Arkham Asylum.
As deadly as Hatter’s mind control abilities are, the deadly Copperhead seems like a better chance to take down the Bat. Previously introduced as a man in a snake outfit, the new Copperhead is a woman with deadly acrobatic abilities with razor sharp claws, poison and snake like reflexes. Her appearance is based on the New 52 Universe, and The contortionist character required three motion capture actors to animate: a stunt woman, a Cirque du Soleil performer, and a martial artist. You can see how the work payed off in the trailer below.
