Sega has announced a release date for the final chapter of Kazuma Kiryu’s story. Yakuza 6: The Song of Life will launch in North America on March 20th 2018, exclusively for the PS4.
In Yakuza 6, Kiryu will will be finding out exactly how much people are willing to sacrifice for family as he investigates a series of shadowy events. Players will be travel to familiar locals such as Kamurocho as well as a new setting of Onomichi, a sleepy port town in Hiroshima Prefecture.
Sega announced that they will send Kiryu out with an ultra-classy “After Hours Premium Edition” which “Contains the perfect tools to lunge like a true Yakuza”. The edition comes with a beautiful Hardcover Art Book, 2 bar glasses (289ml) designed with Kiryu’s dragon tattoo, 2 ice stones with the Heat and Kiwami logos, 2 coasters with the Tojo Clan design, and a special box to contain it all.
I’ve vowed to stop getting collectors editions, but damn it Sega, that is nice!
The After Hours Premium Edition will cost $89.99 USD or $119.99 CAD, but if that’s not your thing then you can pick up the launch edition which comes in a hardcover artbook which doubles as a game cases.
Before we finish Kiryu’s story in Yakuza 6, we will get to see how it all started in Yakuza Kiwami which is out August 29th 2017.
