With the release of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life today, Sega has released 3 new live-action trailers focusing on the legend of the Dragon of Dojima from the perspectives of individuals who had their lives changed by Kiryu’s intervention.
The three installments are inspired by a substory that happened throughout the Yakuza series. “The Bouncer” and “Prodigal Son” are from missions from Yakuza Kiwami, with the final episode “Another Haruka” taken from Yakuza 5. The characters are revisited several years after their first meeting with Kiryu and we see how their lives have changed since then.
The three videos are directed by Christopher Ewing and were shot on location in Tokyo, Japan. It’s a nice little bonus feature for the series as Kiryu does a lot of helping throughout the series, making him a major legend by the time Yakuza 6 happens.
