Sega reminded everyone yesterday that Yakuza 5 is still coming to North America sometime this year. In fact, we can expect the gangster beat’em up to hit PSN sometime in mid-November, if all goes to schedule.
“Unfortunately, it’s a little later than we would’ve liked, and a few weird development bugs that popped up in localization caused the delay.” Sega stated in a Blog Post. “Without getting too technical, there were just certain parts that didn’t like switching the Japanese text out for English, and we had to actually search through the source code to find a fix, taking more time than we expected. But! Everything is more or less back on track. Once we have details beyond just ‘mid-November,’ we’ll make sure to share them!”
Yakuza 5 received a perfect score of 40/40 from Famitsu upon it’s original release back in 2012, and will be available for $40 on PSN when it finally launches, however it is available to pre-order now for $34.
