In the past, the Xbox 360 Achievements were nothing more then bragging rights to your friends that you did 57 headshots in Kane and Lynch, or killed all the pigeons in Grand Theft Auto 4, or looked up Juliet Starling’s Skirt in Lollipop Chainsaw. A tweet was issued earlier today from Microsoft stating that there will be “a new way to earn Rewards based on your Achievements this fall.” While Microsoft didn’t go into full details, multiple rumours and speculations are pointing to more difficult or time sensitive Achievements will earn you a small amount of MS-Points.
Microsoft did release an updated statement shortly after the tweet stating “We don’t have many details to provide at this time, but can say that based on our member feedback, we’re constantly looking for ways to continue enhancing and improving our Xbox Live Rewards program.”
