2K announced that this year’s wrestling game, WWE 2K16, will be released on October 27th 2015 in a Financial Investors report released yesterday. The report had also listed a few other titles for release including NBA 2K16, Civilization Beyond Earth: Rising Tide expansion, and Gearbox’s Battleborn, as well as a yet to be announced Triple-A title (guess around the office is either Borderlands 3 or something new from Rockstar.)
Interesting enough, WWE 2K16 will release on current and last gen consoles, but there were no announcement for a PC version. The last game in the series saw the last gen released first with next gen released several weeks after, and a PC version released this April.
WWE 2K16 and NBA 2K16 are the only console games that 2K will be publishing for the rest of the year, with Battleborn set for a Fiscal Year 2016 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
