The Zombie apocolypse novel turned movie – World War Z – is now getting the video game treatment almost 5 years after the release of the film. The game is being developed by Saber Interactive who previously worked on cult favourite shooters Inversion and Timeshift.
The game is stated to be a 4-player co-op action game with a campaign that focuses on “unique survivor stories and missions around the globe, including New York, Moscow and Jerusalem. Use traps, barriers and the environment strategically to stay alive while unleashing a storm of firepower with a variety of weapons on the unrelenting hordes of the undead.”
The trailer also showed off some of the more familiar imagery from the film, such as the Zombie Hordes climbing over each other in a massive wave as players attempt to survive the onslaught.
The World War Z game will be coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC, however no release date was stated at the time of writing
