Let’s admit it, the best place to play Bethesda’s upcoming Nazi Killing Simulator, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, will likely be the PC. Bethesda and Machine Games have given plenty of reason for that since the game will include many graphical options including FOV Slider, Ultrawide Monitor Support, an uncapped framerate and multiple colourblind modes.
But first, here is your minimum and recommended specs you’ll need to run the game.:
Minimum Requirements
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 / AMD FX-8350 or better
GPU: Nvidia GTX 770 4GB / AMD Radeon R9 290 4GB or better
RAM: 8 GB
OS: Windows 7, 8.1, or 10 (64-Bit)
Storage: 55GBRecommended Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770 / AMD FX-9370 or better
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB / AMD Radeon RX 470 4GB or better
RAM: 16 GB
OS: Windows 7, 8.1, or 10 (64-Bit)
Storage: 55GB
Bethesda also made notes of additional requirements including Steam and a broadband internet connection for activation and installation of the game, as well as a warning for the Windows 8.1 operating system as the new MD GPU drivers will not work.
For the additional (and more specific) graphical options, you’ll have plenty to choose from. There are three colourblind modes available: protanopia, deuteranopia and tritanopia. The field of view (FOV) sliders ranges from 70 to 120, and the game will support ultrawide 21:9 aspect ratio (as well as 16:9, 16:10 and 4:3.) Also there will be 4 anti-aliasing options: TAA, FXAA, SMAA, and TSSAA.
For even more advanced options, Bethesda stated you can tinker around with the following:
Lights
Shadows
Directional Occlusion
Reflections
Decals
Motion Blur
Image Streaming
Volumetric Quality
Decal Filtering
Deferred Rendering
Chromatic Aberration
Depth of Field
Resolution Scaling
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus launches on October 27th for PS4, Xbox One and PC, and will be out on the Nintendo Switch in 2018.
