The highly anticipated Destiny 2 Beta is less then two weeks away and Bungie has given us an idea of what to expect in the upcoming test of the game. If you’ve been following the game closely, you may have actually seen everything we’re going to be offered.
The Beta will include one of the game’s story missions – Homecoming; as well as a three-player strike called The Inverted Spire; and finally two multiplayer focus modes for Countdown and Control, which will be played on new maps designed specifically for the modes. Players will also get the chance to experiment with three of Destiny 2’s character subclasses: Dawnblade Warlock, Arcstrider Hunter or Sentinel Titan.
There will also be a brief period where players can enjoy the new social hub for the game called The Farm, which will open for one hour on Sunday July 23 at 10AM PT. “Most vendors and services will be offline,” Bungie said. “Our goals are to see how many of you it can accommodate at once.”
Bungie also noted that the beta will not carry over progression however people who take part in the beta will receive a special banner when the game launches in September.
For those who pre-ordered the game, the beta will run from July 18 on PlayStation 4 and a day later for Xbox One. The open beta kicks off on consoles July 21, and the whole thing comes to an end on July 23. The Windows PC beta begins in August. Destiny 2 will release on September 6th 2017 on PS4 and Xbox One, while the series jumps to PC on October 24th 2017.
