White Wolf’s World of Darkness is returning to Video Games thanks a joint effort by Focus Home Interactive Partners and White Wolf Publishing. The game will be developed by Cyanide Studios who are best known for their adaptation of Blood Bowl, and are currently working on a sequel to their Stealth-Adventure game Styx as well as a new adaptation of Call of Cthulhu.
“The World of Darkness is a gritty vision of our own time,” Focus Home Interactive stated in a press release. “The world’s most devious conspiracies are true. The divide between the rich and the poor is huge and corruption is rife. In the shadows of our declining societies, humans fall victim to supernatural horrors, all struggling for control.”
This isn’t the first time World of Darkness has been adapted to a video game, while the series has seen it’s share of Hunter: The Reckoning titles on Xbox and PS2, it was the 2004 PC gem Vampires: The Masquerade – Bloodlines that introduced a lot of players to the series, however this will be the first of the Werewolf series to be adapted.
