Bandai Namco is no stranger to adding random guest fighters to their fighters, as the company has had a huge history with Soul Calibur -Link, Spawn, Darth Vader, Yoda, Ezio – are just a few of the fighters to really surprise us with their entries to the fighting series. Tekken 7 has followed suit with its season pass with Fatal Fury’s Geese Howard and Final Fantasy XV’s Noctis joining the cast.
Season 2 however, we did not see it coming.
Series director Katsuhiro Harada and designer Michael Murray announced the second season of characters coming to Tekken 7 during the grand finals at EVO 2018, teasing 6 new characters starting with fan favourites Anna and Lei, however a bloody mystery mark character was also announced as a cross-over between AMC’s The Walking Dead and Tekken. The clip revealed that Walking Dead’s Negan would be making his video game debut.
While Anna and Lei were shown in action in the trailer (above), we unfortunately (or fortunately depending on if that wound is still fresh) didn’t get to see Negan baseball bat anyone to death. Bandai Namco did not give a release date for the Season 2 pass at this time.
