If you’re worried about diving into Valkyria Chronicles 4 on the Switch without knowing the events of the original, you’ll want to at least wait a month as Sega has confirmed Valkyria Chronicles is coming to the Switch on October 15th.
Sega announced that the PS3 strategy RPG classic at PAX West during the weekend and the company wanted to make it clear that this is not the same version as the 2016 remastered version which released on the PS4 but did not advise what kind of resolution or frames we’ll be seeing on the Switch version.
There is some incentive to pick up the game after purchasing Valkyria Chronicles 4 when it releases on September 25th as those with the game in their Switch library will get $5 off Valkyria Chronicles’ eShop price of $19.99USD. As an extra bonus, Sega also announced that the demo for Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise, the game based from the classic anime developed by the Yakuza team, will be launching today. The full release will hit on October 2nd.
