EA and Coldwood Interactive’s “Unravel” was a high point of E3 this year, in the midst of high octane previews and Triple A titles, the introduction of Yarny from creative director Martin “Yarn Guy” Sahlin showed someone who was excited about the new game and the story they were working hard to share.
“Gaming is a powerful platform, able to inspire players and touch their hearts. With Unravel, we’re hoping to do just that,” said Sahlin in a press announcement yesterday. “Yarny’s quest is to mend broken bonds and the yarn represents the love and connection between people. Along the way, we’ll test your cleverness with environment-based puzzles inspired by our home in Northern Sweden.”
EA and Coldwood announced that Yarny’s adventure will start on February 9th 2016 on PC via Origins and will also be available on PS4 and Xbox One. To celebrate the launch date, EA released a new story trailer, showing off some of the adventure (and the danger) that Yarny will experience as he travels across Northern Scandinavia.
