With Ubisofts open-world racing game – The Crew 2 – releasing later this month, Ubisoft has announced what motorsports addicts can expect for new content, both free and paid.
Ubisoft stated that major free updates for The Crew 2 will happen ever 3 months to expand the game’s experience by bringing in new disciplines, modes and features. The first update called ‘Gator Rush’ will release on September 2018 and will allow players to enjoy races in a tropical climate on all kinds of surfaces and playgrounds, while mastering the Hovercraft as a new discipline. The update will also include new vehicles to the line-up and new “legendary” rarity level on performance parts in the game. In addition to the major updates, 2 new vehicles will be added to the line-up each month.
More vehicles and features are set to be announced, including a new PvP mode for the second major free update, which will launch in December.
“Continuous expansion and renewal has always been at the core of our vision for the franchise,” said Ahmed Boukhelifa, Ivory Tower Managing Director. “For players, this means they will always find new activities and things to discover – or re-discover from another perspective.”
Those who pick up The Crew 2’s Season Pass or the Gold edition of the game, will also get access to several additional in-game features including Three exclusive Vehicles on Day One, which includes the Porche 911 Turbo 3.6, the Supermarine Spitfire IX and the ICE Marine Bladerunner 35. Players will also get seven days early access to the monthly vehicles, one exclusive house location (as well as two exclusive outfits) and a special 20% VIP Discount on the in-game store.
The Crew 2 is set to be released on June 29th. You can try the game out with its open beta this weekend.
