While Sony and EA attempted to shake things up by not appearing at E3 this year, it’s good to know things won’t be changing for Ubisoft during the upcoming expo as they have confirmed yesterday that their conference will be held on Monday, June 10th, during the company’s usual time slot of 1 PM PDT (4PM EDT).
Now the only question is, what does Ubisoft have to show at the conference? We know not to expect anything from the Assassin’s Creed franchise as Ubisoft has announced the series is taking a break in 2019 (a move that worked well for the series in the past) which will leave a hole in the company’s fall release schedule. It’s likely that we’ll be hearing more about the multiplayer focused navel-combat game Skull & Bones which will likely take up that spot.
Other titles we know in the pipeline is Beyond Good & Evil 2. Ubisoft has been very secretive about this project with only two trailers for the game released at this time with no release window given, we also have not seen anything from the content creation partnership with HitRecord as of yet. Another project is the Avatar video game which is being developed by Massive Entertainment, and rumours about a third Watch_Dogs game. Ubisoft did also announced that there will be three to four AAA games in its 2019-20 fiscal year which starts in April, so we can expect some big titles to get announced during the presentation.
So far, Ubisoft joins Microsoft, Bethesda and Devolver Digital as confirmed conferences for E3 2019. What do you expect Ubisoft to present at their show? Let us know in the comments.
