While Total War: Warhammer was leaked thanks to the Total War Art book by Creative Assembly, the team had never actually came out to say that the game was actually in the works. Now, officially, Creative Assembly has released a full trailer for the upcoming Fantasy-Strategy game and it is nothing short of Amazing.
According to Sega this will be the first in a “epic trilogy of titles” planed for Total War: Warhammer and it will see two more stand-alone instalments, as well as additional content packs after the game’s launch.
“We’ve always loved the Warhammer universe, and couldn’t wait to approach it with the same colossal scale and authenticity that has characterised our titles for the last 15 years,” said Total War: Warhammer project lead Ian Roxburgh in an announcement. “We’re bringing it to life in a way that nobody’s attempted before.”
It’s going to be interesting to see the Total War series, best known for it’s take on historic battles, take on the high fantasy series that has such a huge following. Then again maybe the multiple award winning Alien Isolation (developed by Creative Assembly) was a palate cleanser that the team needed. Total War: Warhammer will be “coming soon” to PC, Mac and SteamOS.
