While this announcement shouldn’t come as a surprise, after all Tony Hawk has been mentioning that the game has been in talks for some time now, however Activision has announced that Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 is in production and is set to release later this year on PS4, PC, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360.
Chicago-based studio Robomodo – other wise known as the team behind other Tony Hawk games such as Ride, Shred and Pro Skater HD – are back at the helm with this one. Gameinformer, who has a first look in the latest issue, has stated that the game will be “a return to the classic gameplay of the series’ heyday” but will include “power-ups and the ability to shoot projectiles for specific missions.”
The game has also been confirmed to have solo, co-op and competitive multiplayer. It will hit current-gen consoles first and then land on the previous-gen at a later date.
