While Titanfall 2 hasn’t been officially revealed, however the series lead writer let loose a bit of information about the upcoming sequel to 2014’s multiplayer only FPS from Respawn Entertainment in an interview with Forbes.
Series writer Jesse Stern has confirmed a few things in the interview including release on multiple consoles and a single player campaign to flesh out the story better. Stern stated that the story would be “a vision of grand global colonial warfare … telling the story of the American Revolution and the American Civil War in space.”
To fit with this new story Respawn might be taking a new route with the game’s design. “Rather than taking a traditional sci-fi approach to that we wanted to look at how that would happen practically,” Stern said in the interview. “What the ships would look like and with machines that were designed for excavation and construction , demolition and working the land, and what happens when they are turned into instruments of war.”
