Nintendo is making good on their promise to bring back the NES Classic Edition after a brief discontinuation period, announcing that the mini-console will be back on shelves beginning June 29th according to the Nintendo of America Twitter.
“This system and the SNES Classic Edition system are expected to be available through the end of the year,” said Nintendo in a tweet.
The NES Classic Edition will stay close to the original release with the same set of console classics and will be priced at $59.99 USD. Nintendo originally halted production of the NES Classic Edition in April 2017, just months after the console went on sale.
The mini-console had proven to be a major hit for Nintendo, releasing the SNES Classic in September 2017 and announcing that the NES Classic would be coming back at a later date.
