Put yourself in Activision’s shoes for a moment. Lets say you have a very popular animated franchise that is ripe for an action brawler and but you need a great team to make it, what do you do? The Answer is go to the team that knows Action Brawlers with titles like Metal Gear Rising, Bayonetta, and Madworld under your belt.
This is what the latest developer trailer for Nickelodeon’s The Legend of Korra video game tells us about Activision’s Partnership with Platinum Games. According to the trailer, Activision approached Platinum to do a brawler based on the popular series, upon viewing the show’s depth and smooth fight scenes convinced producer Atsushi Kurooka it was “worth the challenge.” Platinum is no stranger to adding content just for their fans though, as Kurooka also mentioned that there will be a difficulty especially made for fans of Platinum games, and will have a final boss worthy of the developer.
You can see the trailer above, which also features some of the cool bending action that we’ll get to do in the game between the talking heads. The Legend of Korra is set for a October 21 on PS3, PS4 and PC, and on October 22 on Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
