The Last of Us has come out to stellar reviews and is already a clear Game of the Year contender, delivering on a great single-player campaign and an amazing Multiplayer experience that had recently been updated with a new mode.
Naughty Dog has announced that there will be 3 pieces of Downloadable content coming to the game previously before the game’s launch with an announcement of The Last of Us Season Pass. Two pieces of the DLC has been detailed including an all new Single Player story.
The first bit of DLC, called the Abandoned Territories Map Pack, contains 4 new maps (titled Suburbs, Bus Depot, Hometown and Bookstore) for the game’s excellent Multiplayer mode. These maps will be released on October 15.
The Single Player content was described by Naughty Dog as their most ambitious story with ties to the game’s main story, in which a new character will be taking over (castings had just wrapped and motion capture will start next week.) The single player content will be delivered sometime in December – January timeframe. With the final piece of Multiplayer content coming in the first half of 2014.
The Last of Us Season Pass currently costs $20, according to Naughty Dog this is a 75% saving over buying each DLC separately and also includes over 60 additional items to customize your characters.
