Earlier this week The Last of Us; our pick for the 2013 Game of the Year winner and Best PS3 title, was re-released on PS4 under the title “The Last of Us: Remastered.” To celebrate the game’s release, Sony and Naughty Dog did something special, bringing in the actors who provided motion capture and voice over for the game to do a live, stage performance of some of the cutscenes.
With Troy Baker (Saints Row, Bioshock Infinite) and Ashley Johnson (Geek & Sundry’s Spooked) reprise their roles as Joel and Ellie, acting out key scenes from the game. While the overall the performance does not tell the overall story of the game, it does provide some spoilers. You can watch the video at you leisure at the Playstation Youtube page (or by clicking this link) but we recommend playing the game first.
Fans who were at the stage show got to see some extra footage that was not in the game, including an additional ending, sadly this was not recorded for the show. To prevent spoilers the ending will be described in the box below.

[tab]Joel tells Ellie about how Tommy is trying to set him up with a woman called Esther, but Ellie is acting distant for some reason. Joel then says he has a gift for Ellie and brings in a guitar. He then plays and sings a song for her, before giving the guitar to her and leaving the room. Ellie then strums a string and the scene ends.[/tab]

The ending was penned by writer and co-director Neil Druckman, who said that this will never ever be released and asked no one to film it.
