After experiencing a delay, Ubisoft has announced the official release date for the sequel to their open world racer, The Crew 2, setting it for a June 29th release on PS4, Xbox One and PC – with enhanced features for PS4Pro Systems.
Developed by Ubisoft’s Ivory Tower, The Crew 2 will bring a fully redesigned and open USA for players to play and explore. In this iteration, The Crew moves away from the Fast and the Furious inspired revenge story, to having the players travel coast-to-coast to become the greatest motorsports champion by collecting a variety of exotic cars, bikes, boats and planes while taking on challenges across different terrains and styles.
Ubisoft also announced The Crew 2 Motor Edition, which will allow players to get into the game 3 days early, on June 26th. The Motor edition is available on the Ubisoft Store and gains access to the game’s Gold Edition (which features the season pass), the Motorsports Deluxe Pack which includes unique outfits and vehicles including The Ford F-150 Raptor Race Truck 2017, Pilatus PC-21 Air Race Edition 2002 Plane and the Abarth 500 Monster Truck Edition 2008.
Meanwhile, those who Pre-Order The Crew 2 will gain access to the Legendary Motors Pack which grants exclusive access to the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Touring Car 2016, and the Harley-Davidson Iron 883 2017.
Players can also start collecting in-game vehicles via the original game by competing a series of monthly challenges via The Crew Rewards Program. There will be 19 vehicles that can be unlocked for The Crew 2 including exclusive Water Vehicles. More information on the rewards program can be found on Ubisoft’s site.
